Research

  • My research program focuses on the understanding of the molecular mechanisms regulating intestinal postnatal development. A particular focus is on the establishment of a mature mucus layer and on the role of the intestinal epithelium-gut microbiota crosstalk in this process. We are also evaluating the response of the intestinal ecosystem to probiotic bacteria.
