Support the Department of Nutritional Sciences

Canada’s healthcare system is at a turning point. The growing prevalence and economic burden of chronic disease have become a significant challenge. While much of this burden is preventable, our healthcare system remains largely focused on treating illness rather than preventing its onset.

Nutrition is one of the most important ways to preserve population health and slow disease progression. Advancing nutrition research, education and their applications has the potential to improve health outcomes, reduce healthcare costs and enhance economic productivity. Now, more than ever, Canada needs innovative nutrition research and education to address critical health challenges.
