Department of Nutritional Sciences Research Days and Edna W. Park Lectures

The Department of Nutritional Sciences Research Day at the University of Toronto is an annual event that showcases the latest research in the field of nutritional sciences. It provides a platform for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty to present their research findings, foster scientific discussion, and engage with the broader academic community. The event includes presentations on a wide range of topics related to nutrition, metabolism, public health, and disease prevention. The Research Day typically features both oral and poster presentations, along with keynote lectures from renowned experts in the field. This event is a highlight for the department, allowing students and researchers to network, collaborate, and share knowledge. It has grown over the years into a key event in the department's academic calendar, highlighting the University of Toronto's leadership in nutrition and health research.
The Household Science & Nutritional Sciences Alumni Association University of Toronto presents the Professor Edna W. Park Lecture. The Professor Edna W. Park Lecture was established in the spring of 1974 by the Household Science Alumni to honour one of its outstanding members, Professor Edna W. Park, for her notable contribution to the field of Home Economics in Canada. Edna Park was a Professor Emerita of the University of Toronto whose teaching career spanned almost half a century.
