Congratulations to Emily Ziraldo for Winning the CNS 2025 Nutrigraphic Competition!

We are thrilled to announce that Emily Ziraldo, a PhD student from the L'Abbe Lab, has been named the winner of the CNS 2025 Nutrigraphic Competition! Emily’s winning entry, titled “How to Use Canada’s ‘High in’ Nutrition Symbol to Make Healthier Food Choices,” stood out for its innovative approach to making nutrition information more accessible and actionable for consumers.

The Nutrigraphic Competition, held as part of the CNS 2025 Annual Conference, invites students to creatively communicate complex nutrition topics through visually engaging and informative graphics. Emily’s work, which focuses on the practical application of Canada’s new “High in” nutrition symbol, provides valuable insights into how this symbol can help individuals make better food choices for improved health.

This achievement highlights Emily’s outstanding research and passion for nutrition science, and we are incredibly proud to have her as part of our department.

Congratulations, Emily, on this well-deserved recognition, and we look forward to seeing the continued impact of your work in the field of nutrition!
