John Sievenpiper Awarded a 2021 Dean's Alumni Award

Professor John Sievenpiper has been awarded the Insulin 100 Emerging Leader Award. The award is presented to an alumni who is early in their career and has demonstrated impact on the advancement in diabetes understanding, treatement and/or care.

Dr. Sievenpiper has had tremednous influence on the national and international guidelines and policies in the field of diabetes and nutrition. Through his work with the Joannah & Brian Lawson Centre for Child Nutrition, he has transformed the programming within U of T's MD Program and Department of Nutritional Sciences, expanding the Nutrition theme and developing and leading the MD Program's Lifestyle Medicine Week.
